De Lennon fixatie van Afghan Whigs

Na vele jaren van geduld vinden we vandaag eindelijk Afghan Whigs‘ versie van Woman (John Lennon) online op hun Myspace! Samen met een klein woordje uitleg.
However, when the label heard that the Whigs version had been based on a sample of Phil Spector’s string and choral arrangement from The Beatles’ “The Long and Winding Road” they referred this matter to the Paul McCartney camp and permission was flatly denied. The band refused to change it and the entire tribute record was subsequently shelved for unknown reasons.
